Link roundup

1. Six Flags is ditching most of its branded rides as a cost-cutting move:
The new-new name will be "Apocalypse" and the coaster itself will stay pretty much the same. But where Six Flags takes one in the pants, is they spent upwards of $1 million on the Terminator-themed intro in the queue. It included several animatronic Terminators and a training video featuring two of the film's stars, Common and Moon Bloodgood.

Six Flags will now remove all the Terminator robots and re-shoot the sequence to match the new Apocalypse theme. The coaster will officially no longer be Terminator: Salvation and bear its new name as of January 8, 2011.

New Bioshock Infinite art (wow)

The October issue of Game Informer features three double-sided covers showing off the characters of Bioshock Infinite:
Instead of using our traditional layout, we worked with artists at Irraional Games to produce covers that showcase what a video game magazine might have looked like on Columbia in the early 1900s. With illustrations inspired by period publications like The Saturday Evening Post, all three covers also feature unique advertisement for products a citizen of Columbia might need.
I think they're all by Robb Waters. You can see some rough versions here. Via.

You too might drive off the roof of a building

This is the cover of the March 1948 issue of Popular Mechanics:

The text says, "This can happen to you." I did some investigating and discovered that it's an article about driving safety, which features this dubious claim, "Driving 30 miles per hour is as dangerous as driving on the roof of a high building!"
