1. Need a job? They're looking for a new federal judge for Yosemite, pay of $160,000, and the environment seems ready for tv:
Also distracting is the local wildlife, which periodically shows up on the courthouse steps. “We often have a bear come through,” said Ray Kern, who works security at the court. “And coyote. Bobcats, too, on a regular basis. They come up to the front door. But we don’t let them in.”

2. Diagram shows the various, mostly fatal, outcomes in a Choose Your Own Adventure book. I always hated those books because the outcomes were so random. The competing D&D books often rewarded good choices.

3. A fan created a video for a Spinal Tap song, using Lego minifigs. Spinal Tap liked it so much, they used it during a tour...until Lego issued a cease and desist. Via.

Put another way, if your butt sags, if your eyes don’t just have crow’s feet, but crow’s legs, heads, wings, etc. and if you need to be airlifted to an ICU for emergency Botox treatment, then you probably survived these cuts. It helps, too, if you can be seen several times a day playing solitaire in your edit bay, have boozy breath and are operating on auto-pilot (and don’t give a damn who knows it).

Gatchaman teaser trailer, Tetsujin wallpapers, Astro Boy screensavers

Relatively lackluster animation on display in the teaser trailer for the upcoming Gatchaman movie, which looks to be pretty faithful to the original cartoon. Princess even retains her yo-yo. You can see a small gallery of concept art at Imagi International's website.

Also by Imagi, there's a website for for T28 where you can download desktop wallpapers and watch a trailer.

And the Astro Boy site features desktop wallpapers, a screensaver, and other goodies.

This episode of Battle of the Planets scared the hell out of me when I was a kid - - I had nightmares about fake skin and man-eating plants (parts 2 and 3 available at YouTube).
