Bill Clinton as a champion for monogamy?

Just this week, he gave a speech emphasizing the importance of monogamy as a key element in the battle against AIDS. Hard to believe he can say such things with a straight face (but he's certainly demonstrated that he has no shame).

Jim Taranto had a great line about this. Al Gore speaks about the need to save the planet, but consumes far more resources than the typical person. Gore tries to justify his behavior by buying carbon credits - - he pays someone else to conserve. In the same way, Clinton could buy monogamy credits - - pay someone else to be faithful.

Sounds silly? CheatNeutral.com claims to allow you to "offset your indiscretions":
When you use Cheatneutral, we'll email you a Cheatneutral Offset Certificate, so you can prove to your loved one that your playing away has been successfully offset. Then, you and your partner are both happy, a broken heart is mended, and you can feel good about yourself again, all thanks to Cheatneutral.

Japanese company offers "heartache" leave

"Not everyone needs to take maternity leave but with heartbreak, everyone needs time off, just like when you get sick," says CEO Miki Hiradate, of Tokyo-based Hime & Company. The company gives "older" staff (over 29) more time off, under the theory that break-ups are more serious when you're older.
