3. Tucker Stone rips apart The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest. (My book group is reading The Girl With a Dragon Tattoo right now, but I refused. Why do so many people like spending their free time reading graphic depictions of sexual assault?)
2. The alternate world DC Comics covers from the season finale of Fringe. That show would be a heck of a lot more interesting if it was told from the point of view of the "evil" Walter and Olivia, rather than just being an X-Files knockoff. Via.
Every morning I watch Disney's animated series Phineas and Ferb with my boys. It features two science hero brothers, their jealous older sister, and their pet platypus, who is actually a secret agent. The episodes are funny, intelligent, and feature genuinely enjoyable music. (It's kind of like the exact opposite of the nearly unwatchable Clone Wars cartoon.) I'd describe it as a non-sarcastic version of The Simpsons, and indeed, series creators Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh apparently met while working on The Simpsons. I'm obviously not alone in my enthusiasm since there's a Phineas and Ferb wiki page complete with 388 articles.
