Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Thomas Allen

Thomas Allen shows that even vintage copies of Pride and Prejudice included zombies with a book-cut illustration he created for this article in United's inflight magazine.

Colorful Medusa (link roundup)

Medusa by Bart Tingson. See also: Perseus vs. the Kraken.

And a few more links:

1. Cute zombie dog toy.

2. Cute comic strip about a first kiss.

3. Weird concept, but I've enjoyed Evan Dorkin's and Jill Thompson's Beasts of Burden. Dark Horse has really locked down the horror concept. You can see previews of the first two issues here and here.

Zombie Kevin Smith toy (link roundup)

I've never seen a Kevin Smith movie that I enjoyed enough to watch a second time, but his vinyl toys are always pretty cool. This zombie Kevin Smith figure can be preoredered for $13 here. Via these sites.

And a few more links:

1. My first Hanukah/Christmas link of the season is...plush menorah and dreidel.

2. Lego skid steer loader.

3. I was considering buying some Batman: The Animated Series episodes for my boys, so this list of the 15 best episodes should come in handy.

Star Wars Death Troopers fan trailers

Perfect to get you in the mood for the Horror of Star Wars art contest, here's my favorites of the finalists in the Star Wars Death Troopers video contest:

Slickest - 5ive By 5ive Studios (this should be the opening for a full movie).

Most charming - 501st Productions (Star Wars/Aliens mashup, played by kids).

Funniest - - Lee Vehe (Zombie Wookiee).

Astronaut Ape and other toys

A few toys that recently caught my eye:

Bertie Mk2.

As far as I can tell, it's the X-11 Witch Neuroi figure from Dimension Diver based on a show called Strike Witches.

Nice looking "Adam" astronaut gorilla toys from Winson Creation, which could be used as a textbook example of bad web design.

Wolfman (based on the upcoming movie) and Zombie Mez-Itz coming soon.

*Previously: Missing Link Astronaut.

Camel Active; Zombie-Killing Native American Girl

Nik Daum posted another terrific gallery of photos taken in China. Above is a sign for Camel Active, purpose unknown (but a surprisingly popular name?). Below is one of many excellent photos from the Beijing theme park "Happy Valley Amusement Park."

A wild west attraction featuring undead Native Americans? Definitely an underrepresented genre. This video shows off the park's attractions, but I didn't spot any Native-Americans zombies:

Coincidentally, earlier this week I saw this zombie-slaying Native American girl illustration:
