Astronaut Ape and other toys

A few toys that recently caught my eye:

Bertie Mk2.

As far as I can tell, it's the X-11 Witch Neuroi figure from Dimension Diver based on a show called Strike Witches.

Nice looking "Adam" astronaut gorilla toys from Winson Creation, which could be used as a textbook example of bad web design.

Wolfman (based on the upcoming movie) and Zombie Mez-Itz coming soon.

Home Gorilla Detector (link roundup)

Dr Bunsen Honeydew shows off his Gorilla Detector, because how many times have you awakened at night in the dark and said to yourself, "Is there a gorilla in here?" Via.

And a few more links:

1. Terrific neon sign/logo for King's Fish House. Via.

2. Stylized Darth Vader.

3. My favorite recent headline (referring to homely YouTube sensation Susan Boyle): "Why is no one suspicious of Simon Cowell's latest creation?"

4. Download a functional PipBoy 3000 skin for a Blackberry. Via.

The Seven Simian Samurai

Gorilla Samurai. It has something to do with an advertising convention in Toronto, I guess. Via.

And speaking of Gorillas, Tenacious Toys is currently trying to find out who is interested in this sci-fi gorilla by Tim Tsui:

If you're interested in buying the gorilla (and two other new pieces from MINDstyle), let Tenacious Toys know.

King Ken Mini available as blind box or opened blind box

Tenacious Toys has blind box King Ken minis and opened blind boxes if you want a specific color.

Ice cream I'd buy just for the packaging

This is the packaging for Monkey Business Banana Ice Cream, sold at Publix supermarkets, which are located in the Southeastern United States. The packaging is by Jorge Lacera, and I'd buy it even though I hate banana ice cream. (Which is why my wife does the grocery shopping.)

*Previously: Takashi Murakami instant noodles.

Carly Monardo's website include a link to Topatoco, which has some wonderfully bizarre items on sale
