In an old issue of Nickelodeon magazine, Mike Mignola told the best "why did the chicken cross the road" joke ever. Click through for the punchline.
I once heard the scientist's definitive answer to "which came first, the chicken or the egg" - - the egg, of course, which was laid by something that was not quite, but almost, a chicken.
Finally, here's the one and only episode of The Amazing Screw On Head:
Jessica Fortner creates creepy sculptures. Above is "Goblin' Stuff," which was created for Fefe magazine and which "depicts an old lady blindly being led by a goblin that has grown out of all the junk she owns. It entices her with a brightly wrapped gift. Her curiosity, greed and obsession keep her pedaling. In a trance she follows the present into a strange and desolate land." Don't miss her two-headed, squid-wearing, bird women. She describes her work here.
Godzilla/Charlie and the Chocolate Factory mashup by David McDowell for the Kaiju Monster Invasion show opening December 3 in Miami. He's posted a desktop wallpaper sized version here, and don't miss his three-headed Jack Nicholson. Via.
This looks absurdly complicated, but it's probably the closest you're going to come to getting a Burn-E toy any time soon. You can download the Burn-E paper toy here. Via.

Shamus Young didn't much care for the perks in Fallout 3 and decided to create some that better reflected the game experience. You can see five more here. It's just one of a series of Fallout-related strips by Young. Here he points out just how hard it is sometimes to choose the "good" path, and here he explores the pitfalls of playing a low-charisma character. Via.
Cinefamily organizes classic movie showings at a movie theater in Los Angeles. Tonight they're showing "Tokyo Story" and "Brothers and Sisters of the Toda Family." Chris Ware illustrated the cover of the latest Cinefamily program, which I believe is inspired by Tokyo Story. Three panels, no dialogue, and almost no movement, and yet it's tremendously depressing:
Here's the trailer for Tokyo Story, which does seem to be pretty depressing:
You can download a pdf of the Cinefamily program here, and view the calendar of events here. They're showing Alice in Wonderland tomorrow. Via.
I'm not sure I'd wear it as a t-shirt, but it's a terrific illustration of a bunny vomiting up demons. You can vote for this design by yajerus at Design By Humans.
The winner of the $25 Threadless gift certificate is Jess, who should have received an email. Thanks to everyone else. You can see the gift recommendations everyone made here.
