What's the last gift you have someone? Emily Martin created a book with illustrations to go along with the lyrics to the song "You're the cream in my coffee." Emily's Etsy shop is here.

Best regifting story ever

My Open Wallet: My friend Bernadette's gay brother gave her a pair of those high-heeled, lace-up Timberland boots, which, given that she's more the Birkenstock-ed Buddhist type, are about as far as you can get from being "her style." It turned out to be an instance of re-gifting, sort of: he'd originally bought them on EBay for $20-- for himself, to wear in one of his drag queen performances, but they didn't fit!

Outrageous gift idea: A custom made doll house based on your own home

Make Your House a Doll House
Starting at $10,000

In an exclusive service only available to FAO Schwarz customers, you can now own an exquisitely detailed scale model of your own home, beach house, or ski chalet. Sounds amazing? It's all that and more. Here's how we do it: the design team makes an appointment to come to your home. Then it's back to the studio, where highly skilled artisans recreate every inch of your home in 1-inch-to-1-foot scale. This includes the wallpaper, paint color, lighting - even the actual fabric of your furniture through real swatches or recreated fabric! Truly an astonishing prize for any homeowner, these masterpieces are sure to be passed down from generation to generation, preserving your home as a valuable piece of history and nostalgia.

Appointements begin in January. Allow 24 weeks for design, fabrication and delivery.

Google sends out "gifts" to thank prolific AdSense users

The gift is a 2 gig flash drive. Not much of a gift considering how much I assume those users must make for Google.

Relatedly, look at how anthropomorphic this little drive is:
