Toothless (link roundup)
Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon by Zach Bellissimo.
And a few more links:
1. There's an XBox game called Hieronymus Bash.
2. Videogum on the latest episode of True Blood:
Bill is still being held captive by the King of Mississippi who wants him to change his allegiance. Honestly, I do not understand anything that is going on in this entire aspect of the show, and I do not care. If I wanted to understand the intricacies of VAMPIRE POLITICS, I would have STUDIED IT IN SCHOOL.3. Nora Ephron mocks The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo:
But where in Sweden were they? There was no way to know, especially if you’d never been to Sweden. A few chapters ago, for example, an unscrupulous agent from Swedish Intelligence had tailed Blomkvist by taking Stora Essingen and Gröndal into Södermalm, and then driving down Hornsgatan and across Bellmansgatan via Brännkyrkagatan, with a final left onto Tavastgatan. Who cared, but there it was, in black-and-white, taking up space. And now Blomkvist was standing in her doorway. Someone might still be following him—but who? There was no real way to be sure even when you found out, because people’s names were so confusingly similar—Gullberg, Sandberg, and Holmberg; Nieminen and Niedermann; and, worst of all, Jonasson, Mårtensson, Torkelsson, Fredriksson, Svensson, Johansson, Svantesson, Fransson, and Paulsson.Via.

Sabertooth Tiger and Wooly Mammoth by Joe Ledbetter
Pico (Sabertooth Tiger) and Wilshire (Wooly Mammoth) by Joe Ledbetter and The Loyal Subjects. (Pico and Wilshire are streets in Los Angeles that were once upon a time frequented by the creatures. The La Brea Tar Pits, my favorite childhood field trip destination, is on Wilshire.) The toys will be available for preorder on Wednesday, July 7th for between $155 - $160 and will ship in the Fall.

Bigger disaster, The Last Airbender, or Microsoft's Kin?
I was sure the disaster of the day would be Microsoft's Kin, which was canceled after apparently selling only 500 phones despite a massive ad campaign.
But Roger Ebert starts off his review of The Last Airbender by saying it "is an agonizing experience in every category I can think of and others still waiting to be invented," and gets more vicious from there, even savaging the child actors. (I was never interested in a story about a kid with an arrow on his head, anyway.) Via.

Kudos to DC for generating so much buzz with such a terrible costume redesign
Ripped from the 90's, here's Generic Super Hero Girl! Google shows 157,000 posts in the last two days featuring the words "Wonder Woman new costume," so, well done DC.
(The only times I ever cared about Wonder Woman were (1) Lynda Carter's tv show; (2) Darwyn Cooke's A New Frontier; (3) the issue of Promethea that reimagined the Lynda Carter tv show; and (4) when she was incinerated in Planetary.)
UPDATE: Here's my favorite Wonder Woman pin-up of the day - - Wonder Woman, Big Barda, and Scott Free by Polly Guo:

1. Kos accuses the polling company he hired of feeding him falsified results. Polls he relied on to conclude that core Republicans "are conspiracy mongers who don't believe Obama was born in the United States, that he is the second coming of Lenin, and that he is racist against white people." Via.
