Dharma Initiative pizza

Dharma Initiative pizza via Videogum, which discusses the many questions raised by the season premier of Lost here and here. For example:

All in all, a satisfying start to the season, although there was too much of Jack's sad face and too much of Sawyer's angry face for my taste.

Little Red Riding Hood-themed birthday party (link roundup)

Little Red Riding Hood-themed birthday party. Girls dressed as Red, boys dressed as the wolf, and everyone took shots at a wolf pinata. Via.

And a few more links:

1. Who watches Santa Claus? Rorschach.

2. How Rome fell. (Hint, despite what you may heard at partisan websites, it wasn't because of homosexuality or anything remotely similar to George Bush's leadership.)

3. LeBron James' new Nikes apparently subtly hint at his enthusiasm for the NY Knicks? (No it's a hoax.)

Ads for Clue that are much more interesting than the game

Simple and clever ambient ads by DDB for Clue. They don't make me want to play the game, but they are great ideas for murder mystery parties. Via.

How to throw a fancy dress dinner party at Ikea (link roundup)

Go here for a gallery of photos from an (unauthorized) fancy dress party held at Ikea. Via.

And a few more links:

1. Photo of New York Yankees dressed as Batman and classic Batman villains. Shortstop Ramiro Pena actually looks kind of...cool as Catwoman.

2. Relatedly, Johnny Depp as The Riddler. Via.

3. Current big deal in China: A video of an adorable first grade girl. When asked about her ideal life, she said she dreamed of becoming "a corrupt official, as they have lots of property." (Photo link). Via.

Roast Bantha sandwiches
, Gungan tuna salad, and other delicacies were served at a recent Star Wars press junket.

Animated Gene Simmons (link roundup)

Animated Gene Simmons from the Fairly OddParents TV movie, Wishology. Follow the links to see Paul and Peter.

And a few more links:

1. I don't see how this can be. Deodorants are researched by asking guys in focus groups to write "goodbye letters" to deodorants they don't like and "love letters" to deodorants they do?

2. Cowboy on a plane.

Neat idea for a murder mystery themed party

(Clue was my absolute favorite movie when it came out. I knew it by heart and also had the novelization.)

Party Ideas For Math Nerds?

Slashdot has some funny ideas (mixed amongst a lot of bitter comments):

The trick is to do things she and her friends like in unexpected and subtle ways. For example, arrange the appetizers in the Fibonacci series (or get really daring and stack them vertically using Pascal's triangle). Use geometry to decorate (especially Pi)

Don't forget drinking games: It's not that hard, you just pick a card and drink half the sum of the prime factors in fingers. If you get it wrong, you have to stand on your head and recite pi backwards (as hard as it sounds.)

Nintendo themed party decorations

Gallery here. Seems wrong, yet appropriate to use Kirby as a pinata. Via.

Weird party idea courtesy of occultist Aleister Crowley

"Aleister Crowley liked to serve his houseguests an exceptionally spicy curry. He would also, the story goes, set out several glasses of clear liquid. Some were water, and some were vodka. He didn't tell anyone which were which."
