Those Oregon Ducks uniforms

Before

and after the game promotional images by Wieden + Kennedy for Oregon and Nike

Here's a long explanation (defense?) by Nike about why the uniforms looked that way.

A good contender for worst ever sports uniform (link roundup)

Can't quite tell if this old Tucson Toros jersey is so ugly it's cool, or just ugly. Here's what the Toros look like now. Via.

And a few more links:

1. Here's what the Blue Screen of Death looks like in real life. Via.

2. Sounds like the start of a horror movie: It took months to notice that a downed power line in the forest near Eureka, Montana had electrocuted over a dozen animals.

3. Thomas P.M. Barnett: "one has to notice the pattern that, wherever we intervene inside the Gap, we tend to birth states within states--in effect, deconstructing colonial constructs."

Burger King jersey for Getafe

You probably saw photos of this flip-over zombie t-shirt for Resident Evil all over the web a few weeks ago:

Well, Burger King sponsors a Spanish soccer team called Getafe, and the team's jersey features a similar design:

That's right, when a player pulls the jersey over his head, he displays the King:

Relatedly, here's a Burger King/Getafe commercial:

Photos of the Revoltech Gloomy Bear (link roundup)

The Revoltech Gloomy Bear looks fantastic and is available for preorder for £20.99 here. Via these sites.

And a few more links:

2. Starbucks is testing out new coffee shops that have no Starbucks branding. The article quotes various competing shop owners complaining about Starbucks employees hanging out in their stores with folders that conspicuously said "Observation." Via.

3. The police officer who arrested Steve McNair's girlfriend for a DUI two days before the shooting is being investigated for what sure sounds like the kind of behavior that should get him fired.

4. Delta hired Richard Tyler to design a "sexy" new red uniform for stewardesses (I think it looks like this), but has only made the uniform available up to a size 18. Larger stewardesses are suing. Via.

Virginia Tech football player accidentally punches coach in head

Here's video of a Virginia Tech football player accidentally punching his coach in the head:

In other college football news, I noticed that Army wore ridiculous camouflaged uniforms during its game against Navy this weekend:

Turns out the special "digital print camouflage pattern" was part of the brand new "Enforcer" uniform by Nike that was unveiled at the game.

Astonishingly ugly rugby jersey for Stade Francais

This is the current jersey for Stade Français CASG, a professional rugby club in Paris. You can buy one here. I dare you.

Of course, as this video shows, Stade Francais players don't like it when you make fun of their clothing:
